transfer theory

Dr. Arterbury and Dr. Jenkins discussed transfer theory during the video for the week 2 assignment.  Dr. Arterbury explained how Madeline Hunter used the theory for transfer of learning.  She taught us to have a reference point for students to use when learning new information.  This reference point will relate this new information into the right category in your brain.  The requirement to be in this superintendent’s program is one year of experience as an administrator.  This requirement assures administrators have enough experience to understand the role of a superintendent.  We will use the transfer of learning theory throughout this program.  We will create an implementation plan for our internship.  As we interact with others to complete all of our tasks, we will be able to reflect on experiences to understand all 38 leadership areas.
