Action Research

I have discovered the most important areas we will learn about are the following: (a) completing a self-assessment, (b) developing an internship plan, (c) utilizing technology, and (d) understanding the qualities of a great leader.  The self-assessment will show us our leadership strengths and weakness so that we can build on our strengths and focus on improving our weaknesses.  We will use the results of this self-assessment to create our internship plan. This plan is very important because it will provide us with the path to improve our abilities and hone in on needed areas.  When we have completed the program, we will walk away with an improvement plan that will assist us in our continuous goal of self-improvement.  We will also see how technology changes everyday and how we should make sure we are using it to increase our communication and networking.  We will be using tools like wikis, blogs, and web 2.0.  Lastly, we will learn why positivity, integrity, being a systematic thinker, and being adaptive are the most important qualities of an effective leader.  Finally, we will build relationships with one another through our networking tools and class activities that will provide us with support during our program and beyond.
