The three most important issues impacting the state formula are:
· larger classes,
· teacher layoffs
· reduction of electives and in extracurricular activities
· overall reduction in educational quality
Reflection: these are problems with the state and with my particular school
Every year my class sizes increase by one or two students. I had to eliminate drama four years ago, art two years ago.
I have 40-50 students in choir now and am concerned about what will happen next year.
